My Apologies to James Joyce for Missing his Birthday ...

  1. It's nice to offer your apology. I'm sure he'd understand. The first thing I do when I receive my calendar for the coming year (I'm still wedded to paper calendars -- "fiber media," someone called it, is to record significant dates like this. I still miss sometimes, though. Curtis

  2. I'm guessing he missed yours as well. Funny how it is that we can miss meeting new friends by a couple of decades here and there.

  3. Susan, yes. I obviously missed Joyce by a few decades --- and an ocean wide. I would have loved to have met Kerouac, however. I have to check the dates on that. I might post a wonderful interview with him tomorrow.
